There are several types of ground mounts including Pole Mounts, Fixed Racks / Frames, and Ballasted Footing Mounts. For tilted roofs, the great majority of single-family homes, use the standard type which is a penetrating rooftop racking that affixes the mounting system to the tilted roof, including most types of shingles.
